My Suzuki SJ410. Its not a Samurai it is an early version of one. It has a whole different engine, trans, and axles. Right now it is 100% stock besides having 235/75r15s on the stock wheels with no lift. The engine was just rebuilt and is a 1.0 4cyl with 45hp a 4speed and 4.10 gears. With the 1.58 high range in the t case it is screaming at 4k rpms at 55mph. Its slow. I am putting my VW 1.6 idi na diesel engine with a Toyota 5spd trans and tcase. So it will run down the road faster with lower rpms and have more power and more mpgs. I am thinking about bringing the zuki next time I go to Alden. Oh yeah I have been using it as a dd for the past few months. It is a long drive to work everyday going 55mph I drive at least 60 miles a day, it gets 20-24mpg most of the time.   |

Where were those pics taken? Mark Twain Nat'l Forrest, in Shell Knob MO. Last time I went they were gated shut though.  My mom said it was just because it was so dry down there this summer they kept people out but I dont know for sure. It sucks if we did lose them they were awsome. Hundreds of miles of trails, very easy to get lost and it is miles from anything. Its possible those pics are some of the last from those trails. |
