Got the Dash out and the wiring out of the motor compartment.. now waiting on my motor mount then it will be ready to go in.. Have some wires in side I need to figure out but it should all go good... This is all the crap out.. older dashes suck. you have to disassemble the damn things to remove.. Differences in the two columns.. Pic before I removed some more wiring .. Starting to wonder if this was the way to go!!

OK..I was looking for more pics but cant find a few.. so I'll go with what I have. After I removed the old 2.8l, I power cleaned the new 4.0l It's out of a 93 ford ranger. Has 165HP and 225FP of Torque. So that should be a big difference. I had to drop the front sway bar to clear the lower radiator house, the 4.0 rad. is a lot bigger. Then I added 6" of wire to the ECM harness so I could place it in the cab under the dash. I got the steering column in perfect fit, but had the trim the firewall cover plate. Had to drop the gas tank to replace the carburetor lines, with the EFI lines, so I found small pin holes under the straps, so i ordered a new tank. Got the new fuel pump and sending unit in and got the tank back in. Now putting in the 4.0 harness in was easy, just rap around the finders behind the radiator. It was a plug and play with the blower motor. Sitting the 4.0 in was normal. bolted right up. I did have to change the Y-Pipe due to the 2.8 went more down and the 4.0 went to the wall just a bit more. Relocated the battery tray to the driver side like it was in the ranger. So I still have the Passenger side battery tray to put one in for just the new winch. So motors in and I was getting ready to install the dash, but didnt like the steering wheel. It was old and nasty, so I built me a new one.. Cut the center out.. [/img] I like it... I'll take pics of the dash in tomorrow. But it was easy to install. So now it's down to the wiring. bypassed the NSS, put a Torque converter solenoid switch in, due to the ECM and harness is out of a 5spd. Back up lights, brake and turn lights, park and tag lights.. done! Started it right up. Had a small Y=pipe leak, loosened it up moved it back a little bit and tighten. All better. Only light on the dash is a "rear anti lock" .. not to bad for my first time with this swap. I'm very happy with it. I'll upload new pics of it tomorrow, if you have any questions , let me know.. Thanks.
